SUNDAY

Here in L.A., it’s all about the car. Except, of course, when “It’s All About the Food.” Which must be why host Josh Stone will be visiting a trio of auto-centric eateries — at a car dealership, a gas station, and a car wash — in this new special. (Travel, 7:30 p.m.)

MONDAY

A serial killer develops quite “The Following” while in prison … only he escapes, and it’ll take all six degrees and then some of Kevin Bacon’s former FBI agent to bring the madman and his minions to justice in this creepy new procedural drama. (Fox, 9 p.m.)

TUESDAY

It’s bye for now for “Parenthood,” as the drama wraps its fourth season with no word on a fifth. And so long for good to “Private Practice,” as that “Grey’s Anatomy” spin-off hangs up its stethoscope after six seasons. (NBC, 10 p.m.; ABC, 10 p.m.)

We’re going to exercise a little, um, restraint, and just tell you that the return of “Our America With Lisa Ling” finds the journalist, above, talking to people for whom “Fifty Shades of Grey” is more how-to manual than bestselling novel. (OWN, 10 p.m.)

WEDNESDAY

Choose your weapon: The science behind the U.S. military’s drone program is examined on a new edition of “Nova,” while the new series “Lords of War” features experts on military collectibles from conflicts past. (KOCE, 9 p.m.; Nat Geo, 9 and 9:30 p.m.)

THURSDAY

Had there been reports of his death, they would have been greatly exaggerated. The 2011 documentary “Paul Williams Still Alive” catches up with the 1970s-era singer-songwriter, sometime actor and onetime talk-show fixture. (Showtime, 7:30 p.m.)

FRIDAY

The plays are the things in the new six-part series “Shakespeare Uncovered,” which explores the stories behind some of the Bard’s greatest works. Up first, the “Scottish play” — we’re too superstitious to say the actual name here. (KOCE, 9 and 10 p.m.)

Oh, it’s on: “Spartacus: War of the Damned” is the third and final series in the made-for-cable saga of the Thracian warrior (Liam McIntyre, below) turned gladiator turned leader of a slave revolt against the mighty Roman Republic. (Starz, 9 p.m.)

SATURDAY

And if that’s not enough muscle-bound men defying the odds and the gods, there’s “Wrath of the Titans,” the effects-laden 2012 follow-up to the 2010 remake of 1981’s “Clash of the Titans.” Sam Worthington and Liam Neeson star. (HBO, 8 p.m.)
