Aaron Paul of ‘Breaking Bad’ to produce, star in ‘The Way’ for Hulu

Aaron Paul, who won three Emmy awards for his portrayal of troubled junkie Jesse Pinkman in “Breaking Bad,” will star in the new Hulu original series “The Way.”

Paul will also be a producer on the series, which is from Universal Television and Jason Katims’ True Jack Productions and was created by Jessica Goldberg, who will write and and serve as executive producer of the series, along with Katims and Michelle Lee of True Jack Productions.

Paul will play Eddie Cleary, a convert to a controversial movement with a wayward past. He’s a husband (to Sarah Cleary, played by Michelle Monaghan) and father who suffers a crisis of faith when all that he’s come to accept as truth in his life is fundamentally challenged.

“The Way” is schedled to premeire in winter. Paul’s production company, Lucid Production also has inked a first-year deal with Universal Television.
