Jon Stewart announced Tuesday that he will be leaving "The Daily Show" this year, causing another shakeup in Comedy Central's late-night landscape and leaving fans to wonder who will take over the anchor chair next.

Stewart has led the satirical news show since 1999, when he took over for Craig Kilborn. While current and former "Daily Show" correspondents, including John Oliver, Samantha Bee and Jason Jones, have filled in for Stewart during past absences, is there an heir apparent?
