Why should HBO have all the World War II miniseries? FX is getting in business with Oscar-winning director-writer-producer team
The based-on-a-true-story miniseries "Telemark," penned by Beaufoy, zeros in on the fleet of British-trained Norwegian resistance fighters who sabotaged Hitler's nuclear development program during the war.
"As we all know, some of the very best narrative fiction ever told is currently being created as episodic television," Beaufoy said in a statement. "This incredible story is ideally suited to the slower burn and added complexity that the longer format allows and I can't wait to get my teeth into this."
