So You Think You Can Dance The Las Vegas callback rounds begin in this new episode of the unscripted dancing competition. With judges Paula Abdul, Jason Derulo and Nigel Lythgoe. Cat Deeley hosts. 8 p.m. Fox

Cake Wars Jonathan Bennett hosts this new unscripted competition series in which four expert bakers go toe-to-toe to see whose cake creation will earn them a $10,000 prize. Judges include pastry chef Ron Ben-Israel (“Sweet Genius”) and restaurateur Waylynn Lucas. In the premiere, the animated Fox sitcom “The Simpsons” is throwing a party, and the winning cake maker will have their creation featured at the event. 8 p.m. Food

Devious Maids In this new episode Zoila (Judy Reyes) unearths a secret from Genevieve’s (Susan Lucci) past, while (Dania Ramirez) struggles with having both Ernesto and Spence (Cristian de la Fuente, Grant Show) in her life. 9 p.m. Lifetime

Brain Games This new episode pits animals against humans in a series of competitions designed to show how human brains stack up against those of other species. The episode also illustrates, however, how humans can learn a few tricks from the animal kingdom. Another new episode, on exploring using imagination to solve problems, follows. 9 and 9:30 p.m. National Geographic

Major Crimes Flynn and Provenza’s (Tony Denison, G.W. Bailey) plan to take the division to Fourth of July Dodgers baseball game, but a reserve officer (Phillip P. Ketene), on his first ride-along, comes across a corpse in a hotel room bathtub. Joe Resalute, Lee Arlington and Gala riel Stuntman also star in this new episode. 9 p.m. TNT

POV Jesse Moss’ Sundance Film Festival-honored documentary “The Overnighters,” documents the North Dakota town of Williston, where the sudden and dramatic increase in population, thanks to the oil boom, leaves many newcomers without housing. Several short films also are included in this telecast. 10 p.m. KOCE

The Making of the Mob: New York The series continues with “King of New York,” documenting “Lucky” Luciano’s bid to take over the mob, and organize the Five Families. 10 p.m. AMC

Teen Wolf The hit horror comedy returns for a new season with Scott (Tyler Posey) and his friends starting their senior year in high school. The two-part premiere concludes Tuesday. 10 p.m. MTV

Larry Kramer in Love and Anger Filmmaker Jean Carlomusto examines the life of the author, playwright, novelist and gay rights activist whose largely autobiographical 1985 play “The Normal Heart” became an Emmy-winning HBO TV movie in 2014. 9 p.m. HBO
