Sesame Street The educational kids show returns for a new season. 7 a.m. KVCR;10 a.m. KOCE; Noon KVCR

Dancing With the Stars In the new season of the unscripted competition series, the twice-weekly one-hour airings will be replaced by a single two-hour episode combining the competition and results. Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet host with Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli returning as judges. 8 p.m. ABC

Bones Season 8 ended with Booth (David Boreanaz) recanting his marriage proposal to Bones (Emily Deschanel), who was confused, heartbroken and unaware of the real reason why. As the ninth season opens the two are forced to adjust after that ill-fated proposal. 8 p.m. Fox

Sleepy Hollow One of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse is on a killing spree in the present-day town of Sleepy Hollow and only Ichabod Crane himself (Tom Mison) can stop him in this quirky new series. 9 p.m. Fox

Under the Dome Angie, Junior, Norrie and Joe (Britt Robertson, Alexander Koch, Mackenzie Lintz and Colin Ford) learn the identity of the monarch in the season finale. 10 p.m. CBS
