It's just one of those timeless imponderables: Why do
The former "True Lies" star and current Activia yogurt spokeswoman set ratings ablaze a couple seasons back when she turned up as a love interest for Gibbs (
"As for the stupidity of those speculating that Jamie 'Poop' Lee Curtis should take [de Pablo's] place, that would be the stake in the heart of this show," one typical commenter wrote Wednesday on Show Tracker.
Another critic cut to the chase, all in caps: "PLEASE NO JAMIE LEE CURTIS."
What's so bad about Curtis? According to her many detractors, it all boils down to chemistry. As in, she didn't have any with Harmon.
As a longtime "NCIS" watcher explained on tvfanatic.com: "Gibbs is supposed to be able to 'read' people, and to know whether they are trustworthy. Ryan is one of the *least* trustworthy characters this show has ever had. There is no reason why Gibbs would allow himself to get close to someone like her."
The haters aren't just being paranoid. Curtis herself said she'd "obviously love to" be a regular on the show if the writers could work it all out.
Ruh roh. Looks like it might be time for a fan boycott.
