Not familiar with all of the nominated series? Unsure whether the academy will make history Sunday night in the lead drama actress category by awarding the Emmy to Viola Davis or Taraji P. Henson (or maybe the award will go to Tatiana Maslany, who plays enough characters for multiple nominations)? Will Jon Hamm finally be recognized for his work on “Mad Men”?

Fear not, while there are a number of close categories that people are keeping an eye on, you can take a peek at what some TV experts have predicted or compare notes with Gold Standard columnist Glenn Whipp to help make sense of it all.

More in-depth analysis and Emmys coverage, including video interviews with nominees, is available at The Envelope.

For those of you unable to watch the Emmys with us, make sure to check back to see how your picks stacked up after the winners are announced Sunday night.
