The media has done a lot of gawking at Pippa Middleton ever since her sister Catherine’s wedding to Prince William in 2011. Finally someone got up the nerve to go over and, like, talk to her.

“Today’s” Matt Lauer has scored what they say is Middleton’s first-ever TV interview, set to air on “Today” in two parts on Monday and Tuesday.

Lauer appeared on “Today” via satellite from London on Wednesday just after taping the interview with Middleton.

In the segment, the pair sat across from each other at a garden table where she revealed that she’d actually been biking across the U.S. a week earlier. But rather than sit down with her while Middleton was in the States, Lauer had to take an overnight flight to London.

The interview won’t air until next week but Lauer teased some of the topics covered, which include the 3,000-mile, 12-state bike trip Middleton made for Bike For America.

The media first took notice of Middleton when it praised the figure-hugging Alexander McQueen dress she wore as maid of honor at her sister’s wedding. Since then Middleton has published a book on party planning and became a contributing editor to Vanity Fair.

Middleton is also expected to discuss what life is like now that her sister has become Duchess of Cambridge and married to the man who is second in line to the British throne.
