Talking TV: ‘Game of Thrones’ finale pre- and postmortem

Share

This season of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” has given us poisoning, beheading, smooshed eyeballs and brains, a couple of dead giants and all manner of sword piercings. So what’s left?

The fourth season finale, “The Children,” airs Sunday night and to sort out our feelings about this season, we’re hosting two chats before and after the finale to go through the carnage.

Join Times TV critic Mary McNamara, TV reporter Patrick Kevin Day and Times reporter and superfan Alicia Banks on Friday at noon PT as we discuss the latest events in the series, including last week’s massive battle at the Wall, then speculate about what the finale will bring.

Then on Monday, we’ll dry our eyes and regroup with Day, Banks and Times social media editor Stacey Leasca for another chat at noon PT to make sense of the finale’s events. Who will live? Who will die? And how long before those dragons cause some major property damage?

Tweet questions and comments using the hashtag #askLATimes.

It’ll be one last chance to savor “Game of Thrones” until the series returns for Season 5 in 2015.
