The young folks don’t like to be on time.

Taking a cue from last season’s strategy, the CW is launching its fall season in October to distance itself from the fray its competitors will unleash in September.

“Hart of Dixie” and “Beauty and the Beast” will kick things into gear on Monday, Oct. 7. The network will launch three new series this season: “Vampire Diaries” spinoff “The Originals,” ’70s sci-fi reboot “The Tomorrow People” and period drama “Reign.” Sophomore teen soap “The Carrie Diaries” will close out the premiere roll out on Friday, Oct. 25.
