“Glee’s” Darren Criss and “Pretty Little Liars’?” Lucy Hale, neither of whom is a teenager anymore, co-host “Teen Choice 2013.” One Direction and Paramore perform. 8 p.m. Fox

Chem teacher turned meth dealer Walter White (Bryan Cranston) kicks off his victory lap — although that’s probably the wrong way to put it — when “Breaking Bad” returns to close out its final season. 9 p.m. AMC

Following the crowning of the next “Food Network Star,” contestants are encouraged to play dirty in the new Alton Brown-hosted series “Cutthroat Kitchen.” 9 and 10 p.m. Food

As if Detroit didn’t have enough of an image problem, what with its recent financial woes, the city also serves as the setting for the gritty new crime drama “Low Winter Sun.” Mark Strong and Lennie James star. 10:04 p.m. AMC

Anyone who’s anyone in country music, plus some folks who aren’t, will take the stage at the “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock.” With Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Lenny Kravitz, Keith Urban and many, many more. 8 p.m. ABC

“She hogs the blankets!” and “He snores!” are likely to be the tamest things said when couples young and old talk candidly about their relationships while under the covers in the special “Americans in Bed.” 9 p.m. HBO

Mary Decker, the long-distance runner who came to personify “the agony of defeat” after a controversial collision at the 1984 Olympics, is profiled on a new “Nine for IX.” 5 p.m. ESPN, 10 p.m. ESPN2

It shouldn’t hurt to be a child: “Nick News With Linda Ellerbee” presents “Family Secrets: When Violence Hits Home.” 8 p.m. Nickelodeon

Are you gettin’ tired of Armageddon-themed reality shows? Too bad! “Doomsday Preppers” fires up a new spin-off, “Doomsday Castle.” 10 p.m. Nat Geo

Clothes may make the man, but for the Comic-Con crowd, it’s the homemade costumes that make the “Heroes of Cosplay” as seen in this new unscripted series. 10:30 p.m. Syfy

Roaring for more? A fresh batch of age-inappropriate pairings is on display for your disapproval on the return of “Extreme Cougar Wives.” 9:30 p.m. TLC

When you hear the words “Duck Dynasty” do you ever picture adorable little duck versions of John Forsythe, Joan Collins and Linda Evans? We do. The less-glamorous-than-we-imagine reality series is back for a fourth season. 10 p.m. A&E
