“Bachelorette” also-ran Juan Pablo Galavis is the latest leading man looking for love on the return of “The Bachelor.” 8 p.m. ABC

Life in Detroit’s Muslim American community in the years since Sept. 11 is detailed in the documentary “The Education of Mohammad Hussein.” 9 p.m. HBO

“American Experience” revisits the early 20th-century innovation of crime solving through chemistry in “The Poisoner’s Handbook.” 8 p.m. KOCE

See who’s nicest on ice at the “U.S. Figure Skating Championships.” Noon and 8 p.m. NBC

The 2013 doc “Milius” profiles the movie-making maverick who had a hand in such flicks as “Apocalypse Now” and “Conan the Barbarian.” 8 p.m. Epix

Ryan Gosling takes the money and runs, or rather, rides away on a motorcycle, in Derek Cianfrance’s 2012 crime drama “The Place Beyond the Pines.” With Bradley Cooper. 8 p.m. HBO
