Salt Lake City NBC affiliate KSL-TV will start airing "Saturday Night Live" this fall, for the first time since the station started broadcasting NBC programming in 1995.

The station, owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has become well-known for choosing not to air certain programs broadcast by the network, including gay-themed comedy "The New Normal" and the graphic serial killer thriller "Hannibal."

As first noted by Deadline, the station has chosen to air its locally produced sports show, "SportsBeat Saturday" instead of "SNL" during the late-night Saturday hours. "SNL" has instead aired on another station in the same market.

But according to an update on the station's Facebook page, "SportsBeat" is moving, and "Saturday Night Live" is coming in.

The update reads, "Programming Note: Starting this fall, KSL is pleased to welcome Saturday Night Live to its weekly line-up, on Saturday nights at 10:30. More changes and updates to the fall line-up are coming soon – stay with us and we’ll keep you posted!"
One viewer noted in the comments under the update, "We get to be grownups now? Wahhhooooo!"
