'Game of Thrones'

In a far-off world where seasons span years, we were reminded why we should be paying more attention to what is happening north of the Wall (a.k.a. that 700-foot-tall, hundreds-of-miles-long block of mostly ice that protects humanity from frozen zombies and such). When we last journeyed to Westeros, Night's Watch mounted The Wall, where they were set upon by the zombie hordes. Meanwhile, Jon Snow, pictured here, a steward in the military order, was captured by wildings and taken to meet their leader beyond the Wall.
