Ben Kingsley, 'Elegy'
|
|
( Samuel Goldwyn Films ) Back in 1982, Ben Kingsley won the best actor Oscar for "Gandhi," a sprawling biopic that also took the best picture prize. Since then Kingsley, 64, has picked up two supporting nods ("Bugsy" and "Sexy Beast") and competed as best actor five years ago for House of Sand and Fog when he lost to Milk star Sean Penn who won for Mystic River. In "Elegy, an adaptation of a Philip Roth novel, Sir Ben is looking for love with a much younger woman (Penelope Cruz) as did Oscar winner Jack Nicholson with Helen Hunt in "As Good as It Gets." |
