Dear Readers,

You and the Los Angeles Times Family Fund can make a difference in our local communities! With your support, we can continue to fund nonprofit agencies whose programs provide children and disadvantaged youth with the education and literacy skills they need for lifelong success.

The Los Angeles Times Family Fund Holiday Campaign, a McCormick Foundation Fund, raises money with the help from our readers so that kids throughout Southern California can continue to build brighter futures.

Give our youth a chance by donating to the 2009 Los Angeles Times Family Fund Holiday campaign.

Your support makes a tremendous difference. This year alone, through the Los Angeles Times Family Fund Holiday Campaignm, 49 local agencies were awarded over $1.1M in grants. One of those organizations was Para Los Niños, whose after-school program provided education/literacy enrichment and risk prevention services to more than 2,000 low-income children and youth in Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties.

“Without the generous support of friends like The Los Angeles Times Family Fund, Para Los Niños would not be able to provide the highest quality educational and family support services to low-income children, youth, and families in Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties.”

Gisselle Acevedo, President and CEO

All gifts are matched at fifty cents on the dollar by the McCormick Foundation. One hundred percent of your gift, plus the match, is granted to local nonprofit agencies. The Foundation and the Los Angeles Times pay all administrative and campaign expenses.
