Where can I park?
How do I get around?

The Festival makes it easy to park in Westwood Village. There are two official Festival lots off of Kinross Ave. Click here for map, and we have provided a shuttle service that will take you directly to all the theaters and event venues. The best part about Westwood Village is that no Festival venue is more than a five-minute walk from the other. Parking is free for most passholders.

Why should I buy a pass?

Passes give you a true Festival experience. You get guaranteed admission to a large number of films, and you can also get in free if there is space available to films you haven’t preselected. Most passes also allow you to park for free. And even better, passes allow you to unwind at the Target Red Room (Filmmaker Lounge) where you can enjoy free cocktails, check your e-mail, meet and mingle with filmmakers and listen to a different D.J. every night. I don’t have time to waste. Be honest.

What films should I really see?

We share your pain. Here at the Festival, we cram a year’s worth of extraordinary films and events into 10 days. And even the most dedicated attendees have to pick and choose. First, you should check out page 7 or the website (lafilmfest.com) for a breakdown of all of our films by genre. Then, if the breakdown and this Film Guide still leave you undecided, check out our multimedia site, latimes.com/filmfest, where you can read reviews and features on the festival’s films, watch interviews of this year’s filmmakers, and read and participate in blogs on our films and events. Make sure to keep checking the website for new events and added screenings.

What can I do if a screening or event is sold-out?

Don’t panic. There’s still a very good chance you can get in. If there is room available (and there often is), you can buy your ticket at the door by standing in the wait list line.

What can I do between screenings?

We’re glad you asked. If you’re a passholder, the Target Red Room is always a great first stop. Even if you are not a passholder, you can relax at the Intel Tech Pavilion & Box Office, where you can catch exclusive footage of the Festival on a giant-screen TV or play video games or watch Festival trailers with Intel’s new VIIV and Centrino technologies.

If you need some fresh air, take a stroll down Popcorn Alley on Broxton Ave., which features free outdoor screenings on select nights and a lounge area with sofas and plenty of room to mingle with other attendees. And, of course, there’s always Westwood Village itself — one of Los Angeles’ best neighborhoods for food and shopping.
