Program Description

The books from various book drives conducted throughout the year for Reading by 9 are distributed once a year, generally in March/April. The county offices of education in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and Ventura counties, and the Inland Empire Reading Council in Riverside County, host a one day event for teachers and school administrators to receive donated new and gently used books. Refreshments for the volunteers and participants at the events are generally provided.
