Reading by 9 publishes a bilingual Parent Reading Guide annually. The 24-28 page guide contains articles, tips, and resources for how parents can help their children become better readers. In 2005, distribution of 1.9 million copies of the guide included:1 million copies in March 28, 2005 issue of Los Angeles Times150,000 copies in April 1, 2005 issue of Hoy Los AngelesDistribution in over 275 Albertsons and Sav-on stores in the five countiesDistribution of additional 500,000 copies through RB9’s toll-free customer service lineDistribution of guide at 2 major Los Angeles Times events, Festival of Books & KidCityThe guide is promoted with advertising in the Los Angeles Times, as well as public service announcements and news stories on KTLA and Univision Channel 34 Los Angeles, and on Univision radio stations.
