Drive Healthy
Explore air quality and environmental issues while improving reading and writing skills with "Drive Healthy." This new program, developed with the support of the California Bureau of Automotive Repair, contains twelve newspaper-based, environmentally-themed lesson plans. Each lesson is keyed to the State of California's English and Language Arts Curriculum Standards for grades four through eight. The lessons, which can be used with either the paper or electronic edition of The Times, emphasize actions that students can take to improve their environment.
