"The Team Think Blue program is an excellent example of how strong strategic alliances and partnerships can have a significant impact on a community," said Dodger Vice Chairman and President Jamie McCourt. Through this program more than 300,000 students will receive important information about how to live a healthier life and improve their language skills at the same time."
As part of the Team Think Blue program, teachers will receive a newspaper-based teaching guide and student copies of the Los Angeles Times delivered to their classroom from March through June, free of charge. Teachers also receive copies of a supplemental parent guide to send home, which is available in both English and Spanish. Participating students and classrooms can enter an art and essay contest for a chance to win prizes and Dodger tickets. The winners of this year's contest are shown below:
