Sake to Me

Kabuki Japanese Restaurant has unveiled new sake offerings for spring, including sake cocktails and a comprehensive pairing menu. Kabuki owner David Lee and sake sommelier Yuji Matsumoto — both recent recipients of sake sommelier awards — visited centuries-old, family-run sake breweries throughout Japan, scouting for new brews and a taste of authentic Japanese culture to bring back to Vegas. Kabuki’s new cocktails include blueberry, ashi ginger and plum &rlquo;sake-tinis,” served with fresh shiso (which tastes like mint). New flavored sakes include Fuji apple, plum and lychee blends. The new sake pairing menu couples four sakes with a variety of foods, from sushi and sashimi to tempura and teriyaki.
