Simon Says: Brunch

Simon at Palms Place recently launched a whimsical, wacky Sunday brunch unlike any other in Vegas. Rock ‘n’ roll chef Kerry Simon adds a bit of his signature flair and humor to the traditional weekend repast — and PJs are the encouraged attire. Multiple televisions throughout the restaurant broadcast football games and cartoons while tables are attended by pajama-clad wait staff. The $38 per- person menu ($12 for kids under 12) is served from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays and includes everything from a “white trash” station with down-home selections like pigs in a blanket, deviled eggs and chicken and waffles, to an antioxidant station featuring juices, whole-wheat blueberry muffins and fruits and vegetables. A candy-bar station, sushi buffet and Bloody Mary bar round out the dining options. Upon finishing, each table receives the chef’s signature junk food dessert platter with cotton candy, Snowballs, cupcakes and Rice Krispies and Fruit Loops treats.
