Angelina Jolie cohosts London summit on ending sexual violence in war

Actress Angelina Jolie and British Foreign Secretary William Hague opened a four-day summit in London on Tuesday that’s aimed at ending sexual violence in war. Fashion designer Stella McCartney was among those attending. Jolie and Hague have been working on the initiative for two years. [Daily Mail]

(A fashion side note: Jolie wore a white skirt and blazer from Michael Kors’ spring 2014 collection, a definite change of pace from all the black she’s been wearing to promote her new film “Maleficent.”)

Retired soccer great David Beckham may not be heading to the World Cup this year, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t busy.

Prince William announced Monday that he has appointed Beckham as celebrity ambassador for one of his charities, United for Wildlife, a global alliance of seven conservation organizations. [People]

Also on Monday, British clothier Belstaff announced the launch of the Beckham for Belstaff collection of luxury moto classics, which goes on sale starting Tuesday on online and is to roll out to other retail outlets later this month.
