Labor Day weekend marks the ninth annual Queen Mary Art Deco Festival in the Port of Long Beach.

From Aug. 30 through Sept. 2, more than 8,000 people are expected to board the Queen Mary to sample Art Deco, an eclectic design style that’s been popular since the 1930s. The Queen Mary, whose maiden voyage took place in May 1936, features 17 Art Deco salons as well as views of the Pacific Ocean and Long Beach skyline.

Throughout the weekend, sellers and collectors will showcase unique merchandise and collectibles.

Attendees can also listen to the Art Deco Lecture Series, which will focus on topics such as architecture and musicology. Tickets start at $15, or you can buy the Art Deco Grand Passport or Hotel Package, which offers a weekend immersion. Grand Passport tickets start at $295.
