Avon You Make It Beautiful Tour hits Los Angeles
Avon global celebrity makeup artist Lauren Andersen is kicking off the national Avon “You Make It Beautiful Tour” by giving makeup touch-ups and tutorials on Wednesday at the Americana at Brand. Andersen will be demonstrating three essential red-carpet looks: the smoky eye, the cat eye and the glamorous red lip.
Guests will be able to try Avon’s new makeup collection, which features True Color Technology, and speak with Avon beauty consultants. The event is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. on the Americana green at 889 Americana Way in Glendale.
The You Make It Beautiful Tour is scheduled to go on through Oct. 8. Check the event webpage to find a location near you.

Kate Spade New York is opening at the Commons at Calabasas this weekend. The new store will feature handbags, watches, accessories, fragrance, beauty products and more. Store hours will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The shopping center is located at 4799 Commons Way, Calabasas.

Burning Torch is planning a Wildlife Now event, where guests can meet legendary conservationist Tony Fitzjohn. The event is slated from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at 1627 Abbot Kinney Blvd. A portion of the proceeds from Burning Torch’s sales and online purchases all day will benefit the Tony Fitzjohn/George Adamson African Wildlife Preservation Trust.
