Barneys New York, minus the ‘Co-Op,’ is set to reopen Saturday at the Grove.

The luxury department store chain announced last month that it would be re-branding its smaller-footprint, contemporary-focused Barneys Co-Op stores as Barneys New York locations.

Barneys New York at the Grove will continue to stock clothing and accessories from contemporary brands such as Isabel Marant, Alexander Wang, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Helmut Lang, and Rag & Bone, alongside high-end labels Azzedine Alaia, Chloe, Proenza Schouler and Marni.

The look of the Grove store has been completely renovated, with the downtown indie vibe replaced by something akin to the sleek interior in the photo above, which is from the newly renovated Barneys New York store on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

The design was created to reflect “the aesthetic of the Madison Avenue flagship,” according to a press representative. “A clean, modern envelope to showcase amazing product. The lighting is now warmer, mirror and stainless steel line the wall and pillar structures, and floors are made of terrazzo tile.”
