New York Fashion Week kicks off with Kanye West + Adidas Originals Yeezy

Rapper and budding fashion designer Kanye West showed his new collection for Adidas Originals on Thursday as New York Fashion Week kicked off. The collection is promising, says our Adam Tschorn. And West had support from celebs including his wife Kim Kardashian West, toddler daughter North West, and guests including Beyonce, Jay Z, Rihanna, Diddy, Justin Bieber, Vogue editor Anna Wintour and fashion designer Alexander Wang. Actress and fashion muse Blake Lively turned up at the Gabriela Cadena show at New York Fashion Week on Thursday, making her first red carpet appearance less than two months after giving birth to her first child. [Us Weekly]

Tommy Hilfiger is slated to show its football-inspired Fall 2015 collection at New York Fashion Week on Monday, and announced via news release Friday that consumers will be able to buy some of the items shown immediately on the brand's website.

Model Kendall Jenner tells Allure she'll never have a tattoo, quoting her sister Kim Kardashian as saying, "Don't put a bumper sticker on a Bentley."  She also says she asked her famous family to stay away from her first runway show. Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing guest edited French magazine Tetu and decided to put a picture of himself, nude, on the cover. "I wanted to show that being naked is one of the most chic things," he told WWD, calling it an expression of honesty. [WWD]
