Bluemercury opens its first L.A.-area beauty boutique and spa

Bluemercury, one of the country’s largest luxury beauty boutiques, is scheduled to open Saturday at 1402 Montana Ave. in Santa Monica.

This is the first Los Angeles area location for Bluemercury, which also offers in-store spa treatments, including oxygen facials, glycolic peels, waxing and microdermabrasion.

Store hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Throughout the month of June, Who, What, Wear plans to present weekly movie nights on Thursdays in the park at the Grove, 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles. The events will include DJs, themed cocktails, snacks and more. Who, What, Wear plans to cover street style at the events, so come dressed to impress. The Contemporary Crafts Market celebrates its 30th anniversary with a three-day event this weekend in Old Town Pasadena. The juried show and market is to feature hand-crafted and made-in-America functional art from more than 240 artisans. It’s scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Pasadena Convention Center’s exhibit hall.

Sample sales

La Mer Collections, known for wrap-style bracelet watches, is having its first ever sample sale, featuring up to 75% off on never-before-seen watch designs, jewelry and makeup bags. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The sale wil be at La Mer’s design studio, 4098 Glencoe Ave., Marina Del Rey.

Post + Beam is hosting a sample sale for multiple clients from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at its showroom at 3625 Hayden Ave., Ste. A, Culver City. Nasty Gal will host a Glossier pop-up this weekend in the store at 1254 3rd Street, Santa Monica Glossier founder Emily Weiss is scheduled to be on the scene to meet customers all day on Friday. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Subscription grooming box service Birchbox plans a pop-up at seven select Gap stores across the country beginning Friday and continuing through the end of July. In Los Angeles, Birchbox is setting up shop at the Gap at the Grove, and will offer three-month starter boxes ($30 for women, $60 for men). Shoppers will receive the first box at the store, along with a code to use to redeem the other two online.

Goorin Bros. is celebrating the grand opening of its new hat store in Santa Monica from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday. The shop is at 312 Santa Monica Blvd.

Victoria’s Secret is scheduled to open its first Los Angeles Pink store on Friday. On Friday, get a free Pink minidog with purchase while supplies last. On Saturday, a DJ will provide music from 1 to 6 p.m. The store is at Hollywood & Highland, 6801 Hollywood Blvd.
