H. Lorenzo redesigns women’s store on Sunset Boulevard

H. Lorenzo has relaunched its women’s store on Sunset Boulevard with a light, bright look.

Founder Lorenzo Hadar designed the space with natural exposed beam ceilings, white lacquer floors and windows galore.

New designers carried in the store include David Koma, Ohne Titel, Chalayan, Aandra Neen, Sara Battaglia and Oscar Tiye, with Perrin Paris and Jerome Rousseau scheduled to join the mix in the fall.

At the same time, the store has added small decor and fragrance to the offerings, with lines including Tom Dixon, Fanny Laugier and Cousu du fil Blanc.

H. Lorenzo is at 8660 W. Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood’s Sunset Plaza. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily during summer (closing at 7 p.m. after Labor Day).

Openings

A.P.C. has opened a new flagship at 8420 Melrose Place, Los Angeles. The store carries the brand’s men’s and women’s collections as well as denim, accessories and capsule collaborations. The store is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. The retailer plans to open stores in downtown L.A. and Silver Lake later this year.

Events

A.L.C. designer Andrea Lieberman is scheduled to appear at Nordstrom at the Grove, 189 the Grove Drive, Los Angeles, from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday. For more information or to make an appointment to be styled by Lieberman call (323) 930-2230.

Malibu Country Mart kicks off its outdoor free summer family film series this Friday with a showing of “Finding Nemo,” beginning 15 minutes after sunset, or around 8:15 p.m. Families are encouraged to bring beach blankets and picnics for the movies on the lawn -- or order from Mr. Chow, which is offering a special menu for the occasion. Other movies planned this summer are “Back to the Future” on July 12 and “The NeverEnding Story” on Aug. 13. The shopping center is at 3835 Cross Creek Road, Malibu.

Lizzie and Kathryn Fortunato of Lizzie Fortunato, the N.Y.-based leather goods and jewelry line, are to make an appearance along with illustrator Ashkhan next week at Ten Over Six. The event is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. June 25 at the store at 8425 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles. Lizzie Fortunato’s current collection will be 20% off during the evening.

Sample sales

Current/Elliott, Equipment and Joie’s annual summer sample sale is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Siren Studios, 1050 N. Orange Drive, Hollywood.

Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent is planning a sample sale from noon to 4 p.m. June 25 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 26 and June 27 at the Cooper Building, Ste. 422, 860 S. Los Angeles St. in downtown L.A. Prices will be marked down 50% to 75%. Cash and credit cards only.
