It was bad enough when Jared Leto cut those flowing locks we’ve come to love and shaved the beard from his face. On Thursday he made the rounds at Paris Fashion Week, showing up at the Balmain and Lanvin shows not only shorn but also platinum blond. And wearing shades that hid his soulful baby blues. One might have thought he was trying not to be recognized. If so, it didn’t work.

In any event, he wasn’t alone in his new blond-ness. Kim Kardashian is doing Paris as a blond, too. Which took several hours, her hair stylist reports. [Los Angeles Times]

But while the celebrities may have been a distraction during the day, designer Rick Owens prevailed, putting on the most memorable show of the early days of Paris Fashion Week, Los Angeles Times fashion critic Booth Moore reports. [Los Angeles Times]
