Nicole Richie will introduce home fragrances with appearance in Malibu

Diane von Furstenberg to have Q&A Sunday at the Grove in L.A.

Two stars of the fashion world -- Nicole Richie and Diane von Furstenberg -- are scheduled to meet the public in Los Angeles over the next few days.

Richie, who gained fame on the Fox reality series "The Simple Life" and is the founder of the House of Harlow fashion line, has collaborated with D.L. & Co. on a home fragrance collection. She'll be introducing the collection of candles and diffusers and personalizing items for customers from noon to 3 p.m. Friday at Curve Malibu in the Malibu Country Mart, 3835 Cross Creek Road, Malibu.

Von Furstenberg, creator of the popular wrap dress and eponymous fashion label, is scheduled to participate in a Q&A after a screening Sunday of the finale of her reality series "House of DVF" at Pacific Theatres at the Grove, 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles. The screening is at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Seating is limited and it's first-come, first-served.

Openings

Tankfarm & Co., a men's boutique, has opened a second location, at the Americana at Brand, 889 Americana Way, Glendale. The original store is in Seal Beach.

Firefly, a longtime staple on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice, has a new name  -- Burro -- and has opened a second store, in the Malibu Country Mart, 3835 Cross Creek Road in Malibu. The gift shop includes women's and children's clothing, accessories, housewares, art books, toys and more.

Sales

Reformation's semi-annual sale is scheduled 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, online and in-store. Merchandise will be up to 40% off on select styles. The Los Angeles store is at 8253 Melrose Ave.

Volcom's warehouse sale finishes up this weekend, with hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 4271 Edison Ave., Chino. All sales final, cash and credit cards only, no big bags and customers are asked not to wear Volcom apparel to the sale.
