Red Carpet: Jessica Alba, Cate Blanchett sport L.A. designers

Share

Some notably ladylike outfits looks got our attention on recent red carpets.

Jessica Alba and Cate Blanchett both chose Los Angeles designers for polished style. Alba wore Juan Carlos Obando’s shirtwaist and sweeping skirt to the ALMA Awards in late September, and Blanchett wore a lacy sheath by Raquel Allegra to a “Blue Jasmine” event in New York Oct. 3.

Penélope Cruz was clad in a Nina Ricci tailored red suit softened by a bow at a photo call for “The Counselor” in London on Oct. 5, and Nicole Kidman looked almost like a glamorous school marm in her buttoned up L’Wren Scott black wool fit ‘n’ flare dress with gold detailing at the Variety Power of Women luncheon in Beverly Hills on Oct. 4.

Also at the Power of Women luncheon, Kerry Washington wore a simple Vince Camuto dress embellished with metallic polka dots.

And Michelle Dockery wore an Adele’s floral lamé jacquard gown with black leather lattice embroideries from L’Wren Scott to the Annual Huading Image Awards in Macau on Oct. 7.
