Graham Elliot pops up at Son of a Gun: Graham Elliot of Graham Elliot restaurant in Chicago will be coming to the West Coast to guest chef at Son of A Gun on April 8 and 9. This Is Not a Pop-Up: Barbara Brass of Wolfgang Puck Catering will be cooking through Sunday at This Is Not a Pop-Up. Brass, who is currently vice president of sales for Wolfgang Puck, will be taking over the kitchen to create a $50 five-course meal featuring burrata with braised leeks and mustard bread crumbs; tomato bisque with basil oil; olive oil poached tuna with farro and herbs; porchetta-style pork loin with garlic parmesan bread pudding and sautéed greens; and butterscotch budino with salted caramel and chocolate covered pretzels. Tequila tasting at Tortilla Republic: On March 20, Tortilla Republic in West Hollywood will be hosting a tequila tasting. A variety of tequilas will be paired with Mexican tapas like goat cheese stuffed jalapenos, bacon wrapped scallops, tiritas de arrache (steak and grilled red peppers topped with tomatillo) and mini tres leches.
