The Mondrian starts juicing, Pasadena Greek festival, Hendrick’s voyage into the unusual

The Mondrian has joined the growing juice movement in L.A. with its new Grab N Go menu in the hotel lobby. Juice offerings are all priced at $9 and include the Caribbean Zinger, made with carrot, orange, lemon and ginger; the Habana Hangover with cucumber, carrot, orange, mango and coconut; and more. The smoothies are priced at $12 and include a Singapore Burst made with whole berries, banana, almond milk and agave nectar; and the Popeye Acai with acai, banana, spinach, almond milk and agave nectar. The juice and smoothies are also available for room service.

The 55th annual Pasadena Greek Festival will take place Sept. 20, 21 and 22 at the Santa Anita Park in Arcadia. There will be performances throughout the weekend, cooking demonstrations, wine tasting, lectures on Greek history and culture, Greek folk dancing and plenty of Greek food and pastries. Festival hours are 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Sept. 20, noon to 1 a.m. Sept. 21 and noon to 10 p.m. Sept 22. Tickets are $5 for adults and children ages 12 or younger are free.

Hendrick’s gin is giving an inside look at the world as seen by Hendrick’s on Aug. 21. The evening will include plenty of libations along with a set design, an unusual cast of characters, botanists and chemists, and a performance by White Ghost Shivers.
