Raspberry chocolate swirl cheesecake. (Meghan McGarry / Buttercream Blondie) |
Whether you boycott the day or look forward to it all year, Valentine's Day is just around the corner. During Monday morning's #Weekendeats chat on Twitter, chat participants shared some of the treats that put them in the mood for love. Here are the highlights:
What's Valentine's Day without chocolate? Prachi Joshi from the blog Deliciously Directionless shared a recipe and post on hot chocolate. The blog Yumivore also shared a recipe for hot chocolate and whipped cream and balsamic strawberries and ricotta cream.
Diana of the blog Diana Takes a Bite made some Blondies packed with See's Candy and Meghan McGarry of the blog Buttercream Blondie did a sweet raspberry swirl chocolate truffle cheeesecake in the shape of a heart.
This last item isn't exactly sweet, but we had to give a shout-out to the blog Mango & Tomato for being festive. It's a heart-shaped breakfast made of smoked salmon and egg and avocado cream cheese on an English muffin cut into the shape of a heart.
Please join in by tweeting your #Weekendeats at us Monday morning to @latimesfood and share your photos with us in our "Weekend Eats" gallery. We'll feature some of the photos here on Daily Dish, so be sure to check back for more #Weekendeats and #Foodporn throughout the week.
Hope to see everyone next Monday morning on Twitter! It's sure to be a drool-worthy good time.
