WINE OF THE WEEK
2006 Breggo Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Drink this delicious Pinot with a wild mushroom tart, a roast leg of lamb or a cheese plate.
A delightful Pinot Noir from just north of Boonville in the Anderson Valley. The name, in fact, is Boontling (Boonville dialect) for sheep, and the property, like much of the surrounding vineyards, used to be a sheep farm. A blend from the estate's three Pinot Noir vineyards, the 2006 Breggo Anderson Valley Pinot is very approachable and beautifully balanced. Owner-winemaker Douglas Ian Stewart is a relative newcomer but someone to watch. Drink this delicious Pinot with a wild mushroom tart, a roast leg of lamb or a cheese plate.
