WINE OF THE WEEK

2005 Alvaro Palacios Les Terrasses Priorat

Buy an extra bottle to put away.
April 16, 2008

A beautiful, luxurious Priorat with deep plummy flavors of earth and wild herbs from superstar Spanish winemaker Alvaro Palacios. Made from a blend of old vine Garnacha (Grenache) and Carineña with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, Les Terrasses is inky and intense, well-structured yet balanced. The 2005 is still a baby, though. Buy an extra bottle to put away. Enjoy it with charcuterie. Also great with grilled lamb chops, braised veal or lamb shank and with Indian cuisine.
