Wilshire Corridor perch is up for sale
A high-rise condominium owned by the late film star Jackie Cooper has come on the market on the Wilshire Corridor at $1.15 million.
The two-bedroom, 2 1/2-bathroom unit at the Mirabella has views from Bel-Air to downtown. Features include two terraces and a master bedroom suite with a sitting area and fireplace. There are 2,298 square feet of interior space.
Cooper, who died in May at 88, started acting as a child, starring in the 1931 films including "Skippy" and "The Champ." He went on the perform on Broadway as an adult, then in television. He won two Emmys for directing in the '70s and played editor Perry White in the Christopher Reeve-starring "Superman" films.
Public records show the unit was purchased in 2001 for $950,000.

Mixed martial arts champion Anderson Silva, known as the Spider, has bought a home in Palos Verdes Estates for close to its $1.76-million asking price.
The ocean-view house of 3,000 square feet has four bedrooms and 31/2 bathrooms. The lot is more than half an acre and includes a swimming pool.
The 36-year-old Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight champ, who was renting in Redondo Beach, purchased the home to be closer to where he trains. He also owns homes in Rio de Janeiro and Curitiba, Brazil.
Eric Fonoimoana, a 2000 Olympics beach volleyball gold medalist and now an agent with South Bay Brokers, represented Silva. Teri Hawkins, Coldwell Banker, Manhattan Beach, was the listing agent.
