Frank Lloyd Wright's Ennis House
When Frank Lloyd Wright completed the Ennis House in 1924, he immediately considered it his favorite. The last and largest of the four concrete-block houses that Wright built in the Los Angeles area remains arguably the best residential example of Mayan Revival architecture in the country.

Suddenly tired and hot, the upbeat spell broken, I hurridly looked at a few more spaces, and rounding a corner, beheld a must have shot....Oh well, what the Hell, I snapped it! At that moment, the little guy pounced, said something to the effect of "Hit the road!", and I split. But the golden shot was worth it as was the experience of the place! The photos presented here, don't do the home justice. It's warm, and alive. Architecture has to be experienced! Photos always lie.
A treasured memory of 1980....I was shown around the home by a nervous, very good looking lady staff member. The staff were busy setting up for a dinner which would include, among others, a state senator. After a while, the owner appeared, a grumpy character who looked to be straight out a comic strip. He was short and bald, with a huge, white walrus mustache. He took one look at me and barked "OK...but absolutely no photographs!"
