Lisa Ling's new Santa Monica house
When television journalist Lisa Ling and radiation oncologist Paul Song settled in Santa Monica with plans to start a family, they turned to Marco DiMaccio of Punchouse Ecodesign Group for help creating a home that expresses their passion for modern architecture and serves as a prism for their Chinese and Korean roots.

Lisa Ling and Paul Song stand in the glow of an entrance light fashioned from 2,000 translucent plastic Chinese takeout containers. The sunken conversation area has bench-like steps covered in artificial turf. "The pit is amazing," Ling says. "Kids stop crying when we put them inside, and on Sundays, Paul and I read the paper there with a cup of coffee." |

Oddly enough, I'm surprised that she didn't atuomatically marry a white guy as most Asian women entertainment do. Good for you Lisa, be proud of your Asian roots.

Where's the outrage from the liberal times? She's a rich wealthy liberal so I guess she gets a pass and front page coverage on the liberal times. If she was a GOP'er the liberal times would be running stories about how dare she buy a huge expensive home and then show it off to us 99%ers. Love the double standard. House sucks though. It doesn't look like it would feel like home. But as a free market guy congrats on your purchase and keep working hard so you can keep buying expensive things.
