FROM THE GODS: Modernist design meets Greek mythology in the Artemis chair by Zele Mané, who operates a studio and manufacturing facility in Carpinteria that is open to the public. Honoring the goddess of the hunt, the hand-sculpted stainless steel frame and vegetable-tanned leather backrest are engineered like an archery bow; adjustable tension rods flex to offer variable lumbar support. The piece is the latest addition to Manés collection of made-to-order architectural products and home furnishings; www.zelecompany.com. Artemis is $1,950 at Twentieth, 8057 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles; (323) 904-1200; www.twentieth.net.
