THE SCOUT
Accents are green with innovation
Pendant lamps and Katso and Tilo stools have serious style.
With an eye on green design, Cisco Home uses reclaimed wood – Douglas fir or teak – for its adjustable Katso stool, bottom left, $650, and the Tilo, right, in three sizes from $495. Both sport tractor-style seats made from reclaimed wood on a steel base. The Los Angeles manufacturer employed local glassblowers to create blue pendant lamps modeled after vintage wine jugs and to reduce fuel and shipping costs. The lighting fixtures sell for $395 to $495. They are all available at Cisco Home’s two stores, 440 N. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles, (323) 932-1155 and 474 S. Arroyo Parkway, Pasadena, (626) 584-1273.
