THE SCOUT
Cook and carry
Heath Ceramics’ new picnic bag inspires us to count the days until the Hollywood Bowl’s summer opener. (It’s 92.) No matter. Consider it plenty of time to test the tote at spring outings. The bag – Heath’s first, a collaboration with S. Stein Design in New Mexico – comes in persimmon or olive, shown here, and includes two classic Heath place settings (ceramic cup, plate and bowl) in coordinating colors. The handcrafted tableware, secured in a removable caddy, is safe in the dishwasher and oven. A loop inside the bag holds a bottle of wine, and a side slot is provided for linens and flatware. Price: $548. (415) 332-3732; .
