Ford-Brady showroom opens with a sample sale
The Ford-Brady showroom certainly knows how to throw a party.
The new destination for modern home furnishings has drawn hundreds to the outskirts of L.A.’s Chinatown with occasional social gatherings, and the firm’s soiree Saturday will open with a sure crowd pleaser: a sale. For one day only, more than 60 pieces will be marked down 25% to 50% as part of Ford-Brady’s first sample sale. The selection will include designer Singh Intrachooto’s Chairwalker, the recycled teak piece at left, marked down to $1,317 from $1,881. Shoppers can check out the offerings from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; the sale will be followed by a cocktail party, open to the public and running from 7 to 11 p.m. Admission is free; dress is casual. 718 N.
