Coyuchi, the luxury bedding and linen company founded in Point Reyes Station, is releasing a spring 2013 collection that includes a modern take on an old-fashioned crochet-trimmed sheets. (Coyuchi / August 17, 2012) |
Look at the new home decor collections rolling out for spring, and one theme that grows ever stronger is a hint of the handcrafted -- emphasis on "hint."
Take Coyuchi, the California-based luxury bedding and linen company. Its latest designs include crochet-trimmed sheets, 100% organic cotton finished with a machine-made edging that reads like a restrained, modern take on Grandma’s hand-stitching.
The delicate edging requires no special care, a spokeswoman said, and is available on sheets in minimalist white or gray. Prices for a flat sheet are $176 (queen) or $202 (king); a set of two pillowcases is $86 or $99. The new pieces are available online now and will land in stores March 18.
