Coachella 2013: Clint Eastwood, Vanessa Hudgens at Neon Carnival

Share

Vanessa Hudgens, Julianne Hough, Emma Roberts and Clint Eastwood were just a few of the celebrities who took a break from the Coachella Music and Arts Festival to visit the Armani Exchange Neon Carnival on Saturday night.

For the last four years, the brand has hosted a giant carnival in the middle of the desert at the Tradition Aviation Airport Hangar just 15 minutes from the Empire Polo Club. It’s arguably one of the biggest events surrounding the festival and this year was no different. More than 2,000 people turned out to play carnival games and ride the giant Ferris wheel.

Party guests pooled around the Svedka bars trying to get a cup of the two featured drinks: an appropriately named “Strawberry glow,” with strawberry colada vodka, and the “Desert Dream,” with “orange cream pop” flavored vodka.

People also waited in line to play the carnival games, race down a giant slide and crash into their friends on the bumper cars.

Sartorially, the carnival was a hit. As expected, there were cut-off jeans and flower wreaths, but this year’s attendees went beyond the festival staples. One man, spotted on the dance floor, wore head-to-toe designer duds. His tropical-patterned Versace shirt was tucked into Jil Sander slacks, and a pair of Gucci snakeskin loafers served as dancing shoes.

Armani Exchange had its new Color Flash collection of unisex, vibrantly colored watches and sunglasses on display. Emma Roberts, who wore mint green slacks and Tory Burch flats to the carnival, sported one of the watches in gray. The entire collection launches in stores and online in May.

Check the All the Rage later this week for Coachella street fashion photos from the carnival.
