As "The Wizard of Oz" marks its 70th anniversary, the FIDM Museum & Galleries at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising is presenting "Inspirations of Oz Fine Art Exhibition" and "The Ruby Slipper Collection" through June 21 in downtown L.A.
An opening-night gala — including the announcement of a student winner whose shoe design would become part of "The Ruby Slipper Collection" — was held June 9 at FIDM, and the Image Photo Booth camera was on the guest list. The exhibition is co-sponsored by Warner Bros. Consumer Products, which will release 70th anniversary DVD and Blu-ray editions of the classic film later this year.
