Here are four innovative timepieces priced from $150 to $118,500 that can make wearing time on your wrist fashionable and fun.
Inspired by the old-fashioned, flip-dot time displays in train stations, the Appear's trademarked Micro-Magnetic Mechanical Digital (M3D) technology lets Phosphor attach Swarovski crystals, precious metals or gems to miniature-sized rotors that rotate to display the digital time. The bejeweled face is easy to read from any angle.
Phosphor World Time Curved E Ink Watch
The World Time's segmented E Ink electronic paper display has a curved face, a wide-angle view and is easier to read than many digital watches. Users can switch between white-on-black and black-on-white displays.
Seiko Active Matrix EPD E Ink
Imagine wearing a tiny Kindle on your wrist. This solar-powered watch has an electrophoretic display (EPD) with 300 dpi screen resolution and four-shade gray scale making the Active Matrix easy to read from any angle. Its five display options include playing cards and World Time (with two time displays and a calendar). Other features include automatic time correction and multiple alarm sounds.

Ulysse Nardin Moonstruck
Since 1846, Ulysse Nardin has crafted handmade timepieces designed to last. Only 20,000 are produced annually. "Athletes, actors and diplomats count on Ulysse Nardin to produce an innovative new 'novelty' every year," says regional sales manager Nelson Lucero. Lucero says it took seven years to develop and test the limited-edition Moonstruck model after physicist Ludwig Oechslin came up with the concept for a watch that reflected the effect of the celestial bodies in our daily lives. The watch team included Oechslin, a mathematician and an astronomer. Moonstruck displays time, the phases of the moon and the effects of the sun and the moon on ocean tides around the world. Water-resistant to 100 meters (328 feet), Moonstruck features a hand-painted Earth on its mother-of-pearl dial.
